We and our Khalils-bred Salukis (Salukis from Barakisch, Nous', Silhuettes, Dervisch were among the guests too) gathered one beautiful day this summer in Södra Bredåker at Bosse and Bettan's.

We gathered at the kennel to spend time together and show our dogs. The judge was Ritta Aho, veterinarian and Afghanbreeder with the prefix Punapaulan from Finland.

We started by mingling while eating hot dogs. When everybody was gathered and had eaten the show started with male puppies. They were three and the winner was Khalils Pasawat Jamal. The bitch puppies were four and Khalils Puhaira Nabula won.

During the examination of Majlis' puppy bitch Mylla (Nous' Dame Diana Khalil Dedication) a small incident which delayed everything happened. A Khalils Saluki (which shall remain nameless) rushed the ring to greet Mylla och turned the price table down. There was a mess of fresh eggs, candy, broken plates etc. so it took a while to clean up. When this was done we continued. BOB Puppy was Khalils Pasawat and the somewhat grassy prices were given out by me (Anette). I was doing my duty as ring stewardess since I was pregnant och should sit still as much as possible. I enjoyed seeing all the dogs and people spending time together in such a lovely way. In the midst of my thoughts about beautiful dogs de males entered the ring. They were 9 and in the end Riitta decided on the beautiful black and tan Khalils Kelb ibn Nero as her winner. Second was Khalils Ibn Ibiz, third Khalils Kawaqin, fourth Khalils Osiris and fifth Khalils Nazim-Hikmet.

Then it was the bitches turn to enter the ring. They were a few more, 14, and the winner of this class was the only 17 months old Khalils Omawad. Sedond was the 10-year-old Khalils Ibiza (talk about jump), third was Khalils Imrah, fourth Dervisch Cherazade ant fifth Khalils Iqta.

During the judgin which was done very professionaly by Riitta I hade very difficult to sit still (not because the well-known northern mosquitos) but because I had contractions all the time. Fortunately he waited three more days.

Kelb and Omajjad entered the ring and Riitta decided on the male for BOB. After the show Riitta wanted to know which dogs were related to each other and we showed the dogs in progeny groups. Brace was won by Khalils Jinniya with her son Nazim.

By know it was becoming cool summer night and we ended the day with a delicious dinner with coffee and Ethels famous baking.

This is a day we will remember with joy.
